I am a child psychotherapist and I have used this game with almost every single one of my 30 clients. They range in age from 4 to 23. Everybody loves the game, they think and talk about their feelings, and there’s always laughter! I highly recommend this game and this site.

My kids and I have really enjoyed this game. It is fun and you certainly get information out of them. My only sadness is that there are not more cards. Perhaps and extended pack can be looked into?

I use this one during virtual teletherapy. I have a dice in my girls group and pick who goes first. I then pick a 1 & 3 card. A lot of the #2 cards cant be used because it says things like "to the person next to you"..since we are virtual it doesnt work so i make up something for #2 like "do it while your eyes or closed or just leave it out.

I absolutely love this game! Such a fun and silly way for kids to begin opening up and answer questions they may typically shy away from. I make sure to ask more questions about the topic after we get done laughing and before going onto next card. Also love that there are so many options that you can play it more than once and not be bored with it

Great for middle schoolers. Easy to get them to participate, share, and help each other be silly. Only complaint is that some of the 1's cards could be written in simplified language to help the students with reading challenges. I was able to help them, but worth noting.

My 12 year old and I laughed so much. We played 3 rounds. I can imagine even more laughing with a group. This game will be so helpful with our emergency and respite care foster kids too.
Would be great for a youthworker, or, school counsellor also.

Such a fun and easy tool to use! A great way to spark those difficult conversations, especially with teens! I’m using this with adults in residential care and they love it too. All too often trauma forces us to disconnect from the fun and silly in life, what a cool way to rediscover that, while learning and growing!

I really like this game and the clients I have used it with enjoy it too. The only problem is that there aren't a lot of cards and when you run out and the client wants to keep playing, you end up with many of the same ones and it isn't as effective.

I was looking for a game for pre-teens/teens that allowed for increasing insight without the feel of a lesson.
CBT 123 fit this requirement, was easy to learn, and we could start playing right away. As a plus, it allowed for some really funny moments in play.

I love these cards. They are so much fun in group. It is a great way to start a group. We just go around the group and ask one question, eveyone anwers. An awesome way for the kids to get to know one another. It also helps the counselor to get to see the group partcipating in a non-threatening activity - having fun, beginning to relax, getting to knwo one another.

This is a great game to increase engagement in therapy sessions. I use it in family sessions and individual sessions with children ages 7 to 12. This game is especially useful in those first couple of sessions when the focus is on building rapport and helping kids to become comfortable talking about their feelings. I highly recommend this game. Affordable and enjoyable. I use it at least once every day.
