How much sand is needed to fill a regulation sized sand tray?
The key is finding the right level for you and your clients. Too much sand can make it difficult and frustrating to expose parts of the tray bottom. Too little can reduce the amount of "land" available for use. We find 20 - 25 pounds of sand will fill a standard sized tray to a nice useful level.
Is your play sand safe for kids in therapy?
