African American Doll Family (6 Piece)

I love my dolls. They are simple expressions of people, so my clients can project their own experiences onto them. I got them to go with the simple fold and go doll house as well, and although they are slightly larger than would have probably been created for it, they fit in the space well. They move really easily, which I was not expecting, so I am excited for this feature as well.

I have purchased these dolls a few times since I train psychosocial counselors in various countries to provide play activities for traumatized children. These dolls are great because they are small (and don't weigh much in my luggage), they are bendable, they have dark skin (it is surprising how few dark skinned people are available in therapy supply stores!), the women are wearing dresses which often works best in the traditional cultures I work in, and there are grand parents which so many of my trainees have commented that grandparents are so important in their family. Yup, I will continue buying these as needed.
