After spending several months trying to cobble together my own collection of figures to "save money", I finally broke down and ordered this kit. I am so glad I did! There is a good variety of figures and objects for the price, and the ease of everything coming at once is valuable to me and my private practice.

This kit could be improved by adding a big, scary dinosaur and some creepy-crawlies like spiders, roaches, and flies as well as some more realistic looking babies. I think adding animals to this kit to create animal families would be helpful. I also think this kit includes an unnecessary number of shells.

My starter kit was excellent. Great choices of miniatures and more for my money than any other starter kit I noticed online. Dealing with a real person at the other end of the line was a pleasure. The service I received was fabulous and if I need to order again, I would definitely use them again.

EVERYTHING that you NEED AND MORE!!! LOVE this! It is the BEST kit to begin your best work with clients. The tray is so well constructed. The sand fills the box! The included miniatures are vast! I had everything that my students needed.

Great kit! Has what I might consider as all the basics, not necessarily "premium". Everything was intact, well packaged, and clean. Arrived VERY quickly and I have no complaints! If you are looking for the complete kit, skip the lesser option and start here!

Only critique would be the unnecessary amount of spaceships.

I just opened my own practice and I really needed a sand tray and figurines. This starter kit has SO MANY good items. Honestly, I expected less for the price but was pleasantly surprised. I filled a whole CD shelf with the figurines from this kit. The sand is excellent quality and of course the box is great too. I will be buying the stand for the sand tray next. I am so happy I found this kit for such a great price. I will be buying more from playtherapysupply.com. Would highly recommend.

I love this sand tray set!

It has everything you need to get started, from landscape items to dolls and then slowly I will add additional pieces to make it even more expressive and versatile. The quality of the items is great, only complaint is that the wheels on the vehicles don't move and my clients seem to not use them because they are not realistic enough due to that. The sand is has a wonderful, does not get stuck to your hands and has a pretty sparkle. The wooden tray fits perfectly under my couch (keeping the room less cluttered) and clients can see it peeking out just enough that they know it is there and pull it out.

Overall great starter set and would recommended if you are starting from scratch like I was!

I have been so excited to incorporate sand tray into my practice and this was the perfect way to start! The entire kit was well worth the investment and a better deal than you would get buying separately. It came in a timely manner and my clients and I love it. This mostly comprehensive starter kit is an incredible bargain for what you get. It will complement our center's services perfectly. Children prove to be incredibly creative and expressive. The sand tray helps them help us help them!!! Our only small complaint is that it does not include rakes to smooth out the sand, so we had to go to a local store to purchase those - seems like an easy item to include in the otherwise comprehensive kit.
