Nice to Meet Cards

People often believe that they are good at establishing relationships, but in developing those relationships, there is always what to be learned. This set of introductory cards were developed by a trained clinical expert to provide a pleasant, fun and effective way to initiate engaging discussions with children and get to know them better.

3 Levels of Conversation

The levels will allow the game to flow easier and participants will feel more comfortable opening up.

• Green - Easy, general topics such as “Beach / Pool” - Where would you like to be? Why is that? Why do you prefer the pool to the beach?
• Blue - Just a little more personal. i.e. “Schedule / Whenever”. Explain the relevance of having a schedule or not. Ask the child how he/she sees him/herself.
• Purple - Personal questions. These are usually shared after the players have warmed up and broke the ice, in a safe and non-judgmental place. i.e. “Forgive / Hold a grudge”.
• Ask the child to pick the picture which is most relevant to them and then have a frank conversation about how this works in their daily life.
