Description:

Expressionary! is a game for teens and adults about feelings - what situations bring them up and the many different ways they can be expressed. Whether through words or non-verbally through movement and drawings, Expressionary! makes it easy and fun for players to express their feelings and thoughts. The object of the game is to have the highest number of tokens through correctly guessing other player's expressions, and being able to effectively communicate with others. The game is a must-have for every educator's, therapist's, or family's game collection! Created by Amanda L. Gissel, M.A.

Great game for teens

Expressionary is a great game to engage teens to discuss feelings by acting out, drawing or talking about (without using the exact emotion or situation). I have used this with a couple of different families with teenagers and it has been successful in getting the teens to talk about situations that occur that bring up particular feelings. I feel it is a worthwhile tool because the players I have used it with enjoy playing with and it has helped opened up dialogs within families.
