The blue interior of the tray is coated with an extra-tough permanent coating which resists moisture, and has a unique sensory quality. Unlike some trays with inferior polyurethane and epoxy coatings, the premium interior coating we use never needs touchups or refinishing. No other sandtray on the market offers this.

The exterior is finished with a smooth, luxurious cherry finish. Each tray corner features an extra-strong and attractive dovetail joint. The included dowel-reinforced lid gives your tray an attractive look when not in use. With added reinforcement on all joints, this tray will last for many years.

Well crafted, and the perfect height for child clients to utilize to create sand picture

Being a sandplay therapist, I enjoy hunting for new sand miniatures, as well as different types of sand as it becomes available. Now I'm happy to report I've discovered this new sand tray, thanks to Play Therapy Supply.com. These beautiful dark wood trays are sturdy, well crafted, and the perfect height for child clients to utilize to create sand pictures. I've owned many sand trays over the past 12 years, and this model, by far, is one of my favorites. And it comes with a lid. I've already received a compliment from one of my 7 year old clients! Not to mention Shannon, and the entire customer service experience with Play Therapy Supply.com is efficient, accurate, professional, and friendly. Highly recommended!

I cannot say how much I love love my new sand tray! It was so worth my wait and search for just the right one! The paneled top and the tray are simply beautiful. I'm looking for the perfect sand and Im thinking white! I can't wait for my clients to use this after so many years in a blue Rubbermaid-type tray. It us so much bigger and the possibilities! Also love the rippled blue bottom. This tray is so awesome! Love it! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Beautiful, but too large for my needs. I wish it was half the size at half the price. I like the water holding interior and the color of the interior. It is nice, but overpriced. I like the lid.

Nice item. Have to leave the lid off for awhile when new because it has a paint smell, but that quickly dissipates. Size is nice. I wish the bottom was a little thicker but overall it’s a very nice item.

Purchased for my home office for my own personal use to process difficult days of child trauma therapy work. It is beautiful and has gotten much use by not only myself, but also my husband who is and EMT Pilot, my two college students when they are home for vacation and even my 12-year-olds when they are processing middle school. Love it, love it, love it!
