Yes, the sand does stick to it, however it looks just like an iPhone and is something my clients have been asking for for a while. You can easily remove sand off rubber miniatures using a makeup brush or paintbrush.

Great item. Larger than expected. I know it says color may vary, mine arrived in a pink color (which is now t pictured) in case that would deter anyone from purchasing.
