Shannon, I have an organization called Cincinnati Dreams Come True and these items and many more were purchased for Fernside in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is an organization that is for bereaved children, who have lost parents, siblings, friends, et. They have wonderful therapy groups to help these children get through their tragedies. Our organization helps children with potentially life threatening illnesses, young people in need, bereaved children. When I delivered all the treats that I had purchased, they were overwhelmed. I actually did their wish list and these therapy balls were on their list. They just loved the big box of balls and one of the social workers took about 5 of them to the group she was going to meet with on Tuesday evening. They are an outstanding organization and do such good work. I wish I had them available when my Mom died when I was 16 and my Dad died when I was 21. What a difference it would have made in my life. I had to kind of do it all on my own, which was very difficult. I am sure I will order more at some point since they help these kids so much. Many thanks.......Barbara

This is a good quality product I am happy with this purchase. It was very affordable and I am excited to start using it with groups this upcoming school year. I want to purchase the whole set eventually and have every thumball for all situations. I am excited to start my collection with these.

The thumball is actually a little bigger than I expected! It's the perfect size for little hands! I like to use this during rapport building with my patients! And to just break the ice if I'm not getting much discussion!

I used the thumball with a couple of late elementary aged clients when the session seemed to be in a lull. In both situations it was a great energetic shift for the client and then we were able to shift back into dine recent issues.

The kids I work with have loved playing with this! It’s been a great conversation starter for kids that I am just starting to work with but it’s also been enjoyed by a few kids that I’ve seen for years. A few questions seem a little dated (talking about cds and dvds) but easy enough to explain/modify to kids!

This is such a fun ice breaker! In stead of having one or two promps for ice breakers, you can have participants toss this ball, which adds a layer of fun and spontaneity. It does have some outdated prompts such as "What is a CD you want to listen to?" or "What is a DVD you want to watch?", but I found these kind of funny and still could lend to another level of breaking the ice.

These thumballs are great. we've used them at a staff meeting, with students, faculty and even at our dinner tables with our families. The only way you can go wrong is not allowing enough time...people get into it.
