The I Hate Wendy Club: Story, Lessons, & Activities on Relational Aggression

Relational Aggression (RA) can be described as brutal, cruel, or mean behavior. And it’s running rampant in today’s schools and affecting and influencing younger and younger children. The I Hate Wendy Club was written for these young children. It was written with the hope that if younger children realize what RA is and the damage it can do, they will avoid the trap older children have been falling into for many years.

The program includes:

• The I Hate Wendy Club story, a reproducible true story based on an incident from the author’s life. The  pages include easy-to-read text and illustrations the children may color.
• 5 lessons that emphasize the importance of welcoming new students and the damage gossiping and exclusion can cause.
• 28 supplementary activity pages that allow students to review story concepts and lessons in a variety of ways, including many that complement curriculum subjects.
